Style: Greek Revival
-
This
was a simple cottage given some details to give it architectural significance.
-
The
cornice has been designed to create a Greek Revival feature.
-
The
small under-eave window in the west wing is close to the floor on the inside (so they are called
“lie-on-your-stomach windows” or “belly windows”, since that is how to see
out of them).
-
There are tall
first story windows, a rectangular transom and sidelights around the
front door, and classic-style lintels above most of the windows.
