  • The house has a closed, boxy, solid appearance.

  • Broad hip roof with wide eaves are present.

  • The exterior walls are stucco and cover its two stories.

  • The design makes one think of the horizontal lines of the prairie.

Who has lived here:

  • The house was originally built for the family of Walter Bellatti, a local attorney.

Interesting notes:

  • Three large trees in  the back yard are over 160 years old and were planted by Jonathan Baldwin Turner when he owned the land on which the house stands.
