Admissions

Admissions Process

We have tried to design a process that is as easy as possible while providing the information necessary for the admissions committee to make an appropriate decision. There are two basic components to the process: one is a visit to the school and the other is completing an application packet.

When you and your student visit our school you will meet some of the staff responsible for the student's educational and residential experience. There will also be a time for you to see the facilities and programs, talk to some of our students, and have your questions answered in person.

We believe that it is important for the parents/guardians and the student to have a first-hand knowledge of our school. It is also important for us to get to know you personally.

The application packet consists of several documents that need to be completed by the parent, the student's physician, and personnel at the student's current school. If you would like an application packet, just let us know.

The admissions committee has scheduled meetings during the year:

  • January 20, 2012
  • June 1, 2012
  • August 3, 2012
  • December 7, 2012

Other admissions meetings can be scheduled depending on the circumstances.

If you would like to talk to someone before requesting a visit or an application packet, please call Carolyn Eilering at 217-479-4297 (Voice/TTY).
