Illinois School for the Deaf

Adults who need assessment services must be referred to the ISD adult program by their Rehabilitation Counselors for the Deaf (RCD). ISD and the RCD work together to schedule and plan assessment services. RCD's may request adult assessments be conducted in their local area via the Mobile Assessment Program (MAP). Professional staff available for mobile assessments include vocational specialists, school psychologists, social workers, and a speech-language pathologist. The size of the MAP team varies according to the assessment services requested.
